We do not sell one product. We help you choose the right one.

One advisor for every technology decision your business has to make, with 500+ providers behind every recommendation.

Every business runs on the same layers of technology: a connection, a phone system, a network, security, cloud services, and cybersecurity on top. Each layer has dozens of capable providers, and each naturally presents its own solution.

Black Owls sits on your side of the table. We learn how your business works, compare the providers that fit, and stay with you through contract, implementation, and everything after. You get one point of contact across all of it, and the technology is chosen to work together instead of piece by piece.

We work with your whole organization

Technology decisions rarely belong to one person. We work with owners, C-level executives, CIOs, and IT departments, in businesses of every size, and we adapt to the way each one makes decisions and buys.

  • We fit your procurement process. Every organization approves and purchases differently. Before we start, we agree with you on how decisions are made, who is involved, and what your process requires.
  • We work with your IT leadership. If you have a CIO or an IT department, we work as an extension of that team, never around it.
  • We bring in engineers when depth is needed. For complex or highly technical decisions, we bring solution engineers who specialize in that technology into the conversation.

Four views on every decision

A technology choice is never only technical. Before we recommend anything, we work through four sets of questions with you:

Technology. Does it work, and what exactly does it improve? How does it fit with the systems you already run, and what has to change to make room for it?

Business. Which short-term and long-term goals does it serve? How far does it scale as you grow, and where are the limits of the system? Which risks does it remove, which new ones does it introduce, and what does an outage or a failed rollout cost you?

Finance. What is the ROI? How does it shift spending between CapEx and OpEx? Can its effect be traced to revenue and margin? How does it show up in your financial statements: the balance sheet, the profit and loss statement, and cash flow? And how will the investment look to your shareholders?

Customer experience. What changes for your customers and for your own people? Does it make dealing with you faster, simpler, and more reliable, and will they notice the difference?

How it works

1

Assess. We learn how your business works, what you have today, and what is not working.

2

Compare. We bring back the providers that fit, side by side, in plain language.

3

Contract. You choose. We make sure the terms match what was proposed.

4

Implement and support. We stay through installation and remain your point of contact after.

Why work with an advisor

  • One conversation instead of many. You describe your business once. We take it to the market.
  • 500+ providers, one comparison. Options from competing providers, side by side, in the same format.
  • Advice that is not tied to one provider. We recommend what fits your business, whoever delivers it.
  • Technology that works together. Internet, voice, network, security, and cloud are planned as one system.
  • Someone who stays. After the contract is signed, you still have someone on your side.

A technology advisor helps a business choose, contract, and implement technology services such as internet, phone systems, security, and cloud. Instead of representing one provider, the advisor compares many and recommends the options that fit the business. The advisor also stays involved after the decision, helping with implementation, billing issues, escalations, and renewals.

A provider’s representative can offer only that provider’s products. A technology advisor works across many providers, so the recommendation starts with what your business needs and not with what one company sells. You also keep the same contact when you add services or change providers.

We work across five areas: internet and voice, cybersecurity, network and Wi-Fi, IoT and physical security, and cloud and managed services. Most clients start with one decision, such as a contract renewal or a new location, and bring us into the others over time.

Yes. Internal IT teams use an advisor for the market research, provider comparison, and contract work they rarely have time for. If you rely on an outside IT provider, we work alongside them. Our role is sourcing and comparison, not replacing the people who support you day to day.

No. We work with companies of any size that match the profiles on our Who We Help page and share the values in Our Principles. The process is similar for all of them. What changes is the scale of the requirements and the depth of our research: the larger the organization, the more we need to learn about it before we can recommend a solution that truly fits.

We stay involved. We track the order and installation, coordinate the cutover with your team, and check that what was delivered matches what was signed. After that we remain your point of contact.
